WHAT IS THERMAGE®?
The Thermage system® is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) therapy uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deeper, collagen-rich layers of the skin. This results in a smoother, tighter and more contoured skin for an overall younger-looking appearance.
WHAT IS THERMAGE® FLX?
Thermage® FLX is the latest innovation from Solta, the makers of Thermage®. Thermage® FLX, like its predecessors, harnesses the power of non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) energy, delivering it deep within the dermis to tighten and remodel existing collagen, and stimulate neocollagenesis. Thermage FLX has better, faster and more comfortable skin tightening treatments. The device still employs Comfort Pulse Technology (CPT™), which uses vibrating pulses in the handpiece to enhance patient comfort, and the enlarged treatment tips allow for faster treatment.
HOW LONG WILL THE THERMAGE® FLX RESULTS LAST?
For most patients, measurable results appear gradually in the two to six months following a single treatment session and can last for 1-2 years depending on your skin condition and aging process.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Unlike many cosmetic procedures requiring multiple sessions, Thermage® FLX delivers results after ONE TREATMENT SESSION. Best of all, results continue to improve over time.
DOES THE THERMAGE® FLX TREATMENT HURT?
The Thermage® FLX system incorporates vibration on the face and body treatments, which has been shown to provide patient comfort.
You’ll feel a brief heating sensation when the treatment device’s tip touches your skin, followed by a cooling sensation to help protect your skin and minimize any discomfort.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE THERMAGE® FLX TREATMENT?
Some patients have temporary redness or minor swelling after treatment, but this usually goes away within 24 hours.
HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN GET BACK TO MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES?
Most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. No special care is required afterward, aside from basic skin maintenance and sunscreens as part of a regular skincare regimen.
